Release Day! What pleasantly surprised you. What mildly disappointed you?

I only took a quick look for now. My delivery date would be 27Q1. Cool!

The boosted range is great. Was hoping to see more numbers, such as delivery fee. (I'd like factory pickup at $99 or whatever) I clicked on a few accessories, most were "Price to be determined"

I didn't feel that the warranty info was specific enough. The 10 year, 100k miles on the battery is Federally mandated, nice that they extended it slightly. But the other being "roadside assistance", compare to a bumper-to-bumper?

The 2000# towing is good. I'll have to spend more time researching over the next 29 days.

Not that I want them to raise prices, but their prices for everything seem 20% too low.

I would want a trifold tonneau and at 1K it is surprisingly inexpensive.

I would imagine the hitch to be at least $130 if not $230

If Slate raises prices on anything it’s all your fault.

Anyone else catching no bumper to bumper warranty wording? Just the mention very specific to say only roadside asstance and not the wording of “bumper to bumper”?? Kinda sketch??
The 110 powertrain is not bumper to bumper. What if the dash goes out for example?

I was wondering about that. Likely not sorted yet, I don’t think it’s possible for them to not warranty the whole thing for some period of time.

I am more than mildly disappointed that Slate appears to have removed the ability to specify a custom color wrap (Hex/RGB).

I spent a lot of time tweaking my color to land it exactly where I wanted.

Now I don't know what will happen to my specific wrap. Will it 'round' to the nearest color? That would be terrible!

Do I need to order an unwrapped Slate and have it wrapped after the fact?

Maybe I missed something! Admittedly, I didn't spend quality time looking around.

Huh, one of my builds matched the color of my motorcycle by Hex. I'm leaning toward a different color but its disappointing if they removed that option.

Orgasmically giddy: 205 miles on the base model!!! I was begrudgingly budgeting another $4000 to get the extended range, >2000 for $25k is great.

Pleasantly surprised: not much. All the rumors of 2000 lbs towing and $24,950 base price turned out to be true. I suppose the $100 receiver hitch is a pleasant surprise, I was ready to spend a good deal more than that on a tow package. $500 is a great price for a basic wrap too.

Mildly disappointed: The fastback costs a good deal more than the SUV. I get it, it's cooler and can therefore cost more, but aren't they basically the same thing, just a little more raw materials to fill out the top rear corner? On that note, shouldn't the fastback be cheaper? It's fine, I'll just run a tonneau cover instead, but was hoping to go cargo-mode fastback. If someone else in the MI/IN area wants open-air and is willing to order the fastback, I'll pay the difference and buy the unused body panels from you...

Also a pleasant surprise: Just tried to use the chat tool to talk to a Slate agent again. For weeks, they've said "We'll be able to tell you more on the 24th". But they've been instantly available - I've never seen more than a 1 minute wait time - and they've been happy to chat with enthusiasts. Today:

I think fastback isn't able to reuse the rear window like the square back would, but I haven't looked closely. Just seems like the longer rear panel would need different glass. That's not $2k. Maybe more off-the-shelf parts work in the square back ... ? A lot of these add ons are cheaper than I expected, but like a Lariat, I suppose the best margins are in the most appealing kits.
