The shelf life for some executives at large companies is typically 3-5 years. They often storm in to tackle a big project and then move on to the next big thing.

Slate and Lucid are on opposite ends of the automotive spectrum. I hope she can tailor her skill set into the affordable sales model that Slate is promising.

Maybe they know something we don't?
Sales department isn't just about getting more new customers, it's also about actually doing the sales, including to customers already waiting on the product. It's also not like they can count on the reservations to fuel sales for the company through the whole production life of the truck.

I started wondering about possible sales incentives that might be offered for reservation holders who convert to orders for a limited time after the order portal is open. Of course I hope the pricing is low enough to be a big motivator by itself, but what about temporarily waiving delivery fees or offering accessory credits? I did a quick AI search to see if there are examples of this sales approach - see attached.

What incentive(s) would make you more likely to convert - or is this not a factor?

The biggest challenge Lynn has is convincing my WIFE that I need to buy a Slate.

* Initial broach of the subject did not go well... :CWL:

I’m SHOCKED!!!!
Well, I do have 4 cars and 2 motorcycles. She doesn't see the point. lol.

Truth is the Slate will be a replacement. We're in "negotiations"...

The wife questioned why I needed to buy another shotgun when I already had 2. I countered by asking her why she needed to buy yet another pair of shoes when she has a closet full of them.
She did'nt speak to me for nearly a week; it was wonderful. ;)

Were the shoes on sale?

I think Slate is a great addition to any household, especially if mostly ICE. If I have a couple of EV trucks already, it is still wise to downsize to something smaller and easier to maintain.

Slate makes better sense than shoes. You can't wear her shoes but she can ride with you in the Slate (or even drive it.) 👍
