So the auto news outlets tonight confirmed that production of the Slate will be in the US (Indiana plant) and with vast majority American parts, including the battery. This is good to hear as it'll mostly avoid any tariffs.

Would be a cool distinction for the Slate truck if it ends up being the most American vehicle made, topping the current #1 - Tesla Model Y.

Do we now know any more regarding the percentage of American made parts? That would be cool to be number one!

The way they have been talking, it is mostly US built and sourced. I think the batteries are from Georgia, electric drive unit from Indiana near Warsaw. Maybe window cranks are imported.

The batteries are from the Korean company SK On and the drive unit is from the Chinese company Jing-Jin Electric (aka JJE.)

I hope that in the future Slate is able to source power storage and drivetrain components domestically.

I can forgive the cranks!! Must have in my book. No matter where they're from
From SK On but made in a factory in Georgia. They chose that to qualify for now cancelled incentives.
