Looks like a bunch of the hold-down/attachment options both inside the cab and in the bed are various lengths of T-rail. Is that just extruded aluminum like this

By the way, the prices you see above are per inch, not per foot.
Seems perfectly reasonable inside the cab and in the bed if the loading was appropriate. It doesn't seem like a great option if the load is directed along the slot, as you'd be relying on how tightly you cranked on a knob or a bolt for friction.
Alternatively, if it's something else entirely and you know what it is, please share with the class.
