I think that a lot of first-time EV buyers have unnecessary range anxiety. In real life, we typically charge overnight and drive less than 50 miles a day, it's just not a problem. And with a tiny bit of planning and a 20 minute charge stop, you can make a much longer trip.In the end It's going to be about range, particularly in a vehicle that doesn't have a pile of $70k battery capacity to waste.
But yeah, it would be bad for them to find that out concurrently with noticing their 205 mile range EV actually got 160 due to their driving preferences...
