The more I think about it I may just order the blank slate. Since everything has to be installed by the user, it may be better to wait and see what is good and maybe not so good. Only exception may be the wrap. Anyone else think like this?

I was always truck, not SUV, but trailer hitch, wrap, partial wrap, console, etc. etc. etc. I bounced around. I'm a pretty avid DIY guy so I think it makes sense to wait, drive the truck, see the reviews of various features, consider aftermarket, and then decide.

When you see your vehicle in the parking lot with that new modification you can mutter to yourself "yeah, that's better".

First thing is it's way to early to decide. Right now just put together ideas in the builder. Still probably at least 5 months before any of us even get the chance to order. By that time I expect more info on each accessory, and probably many more accessories available to choose.

I'm with you here. My build right now has just the bed mat, trailer hitch, and recently I threw in the center console. I'm definitely going with the bed mat and receiver hitch. I may wait on the center console. My only concern is the availability of the accessories/parts once Slate gets up to full-rate production and lots of owners what the same accessories I do.

I may just go Blank Slate like you are considering and take my chances on parts availability.

That was pretty much my build. Always thoght a trailer hitch is a mist.

Since accessories ship separately, I'm guessing they'll have an additional shipping cost. I was all for the bed mat. However, thinking about the cost of it AND the cost of shipping, I'm now considering a stall mat from a local source (like Wilco) and will trim to fit. The mat cost is less and no shipping charge. I was all for the additional center console. After considering the cost of it AND the cost of shipping, I'm now thinking I can go without and might actually prefer the low-profile stock console. Instead of optional front & tail lens covers, I'll likely modify what is stock through subtractive manufacturing techniques. Other things that are proprietary will def have to come from Slate. My list of those items is getting much shorter.

I’m pretty much in the same boat. I’m only looking at hitch, truck towers, bed lights and maybe speakers. We’ll see what’s available aftermarket too. It may end up cheaper

To save money for now, I buying a Blank Slate with just a few accessories (Share Code). Just getting the trailer hitch, center console, Slate Telematics Module, and all weather mats. I be upgrading it heavily over the years as I can afford the accessories.

My initial thought was to buy a Blank Slate as is from the factory. But as the list of Slate accessories has grown I have been adding items that I know I would want if/when they became available. For example, I like a black interior (or at least as much black as possible). So I selected the Slate Black seat covers, door inserts, arm rests, dash panels. On the exterior, I know I want greater ground clearance to accommodate larger tires. So I added the lift kit and fender flares. I will stick with the stock wheels and tires for now and upgrade those later. I want fog lights which requires the front bumper upgrade and the five switch. Might as well add the matching rear bumper upgrade. And two final must haves… the rubber bed mat and the trailer tow hitch. The only true creature comfort items I will get are side door cubbies and carpet inserts for the cab and the frunk. Being in Hawai’i I often drive barefoot so carpet feels better on the toes and I figure carpet in a frunk will be like carpet in a trunk… stuff won’t slide around.
One more thing — I will be looking for one of those carpet inserts to cover the dash (black of course 😆).

The only things I want are a tonneau and hitch
