The membership here seems to be pretty DIY heavy, so what projects are you working on?

Today I'm finding the exhaust leak on my wife's Yaris. The muffler section rusts out in this exact spot every couple years. She bought the car used and has put about 160k on it since then, so I've replaced the muffler several times now. One of many reasons I now prefer EVs, haha.

It's too hot to wrench for very long here in TX this time of year, so wrenching is on hold until Oct.

I did recently do a full suspension/brake rehab on the Miata and added DRLs.

Replacing a bad o2 sensor on my beloved Titan and low compression on a vintage DR trimmer… probably head gasket. Maybe valve clearance or bad rings.

Lol, mine has leaked for 2 years, and I leave it that way on purpose.
To my ear the engine note is better that way, without droning, until they break like your's.
The 2 I helped diagnose leaked or broke at the joint just past the manifold aft of the engine.
The Rav 4 on the bottom right is in the same shape as your Yaris, but my kiddo refuses to let me fix it because it sounds "cool".
My Yaris is on the right with wheels and tires from my old MINI.

I've got some fuses to replace (my fuse pullers I bought suck, first time I've needed to do this), and some bulbs. That's about it.

Installing an aftermarket air conditioning upgrade into my 911. Griffiths Technical offers a ground-up solution to the crap-ass AC these cars got from the factory - 40 ft of permeable rubber hose with tube and fin condensers running R12.

They barely did any work to begin with, and needed recharging every year. Well, R12 isn't really a thing these days. And R134a isn't as good as R12, so a crap afterthought system ain't gonna work by changing the refrigerant.

So, Griffiths figured out how to make the thing work. And that means all I have to do is replace 40 ft of hose, the evaporator, a condenser, add a couple of condensers, a new drier, a high-speed fan or three, evacuate, charge and BINGO!

Right?

Oh, and while I'm at it, the cabin fresh air blower, and a couple of marker lenses that have taken a stone hit or three over the past years. NBD.

I'm fixing the left rear taillight on my wife's Mini that 2 different shops didn't repair. I need to replace one light socket and the light carrier due to the plastic being broken around the top bulb. I found a replacement at a scrapyard, which isn't broken but it does appear to have had some overheating at the exact same spot.
