1961 Falcon wagon, white, 170 cid 6, column 3-speed stick, bought for $200 in 1973. Rear main seal failed 1974. On that car you could remove a cross-member, drop the pan and disassemble the bottom end, so I did, took the crank to be reground, new seals & bearings, all in the driveway or maybe it was even in the street. Kept it about another 10 years.

1992 Nissan Hardbody Pickup. Midnight blue & blue interior with 5-spd manual. I swear I’m just trying to live that again with this Slate. Right down to the boxy steering wheel!
Roll-up windows, manual locks and mirrors, but a killer stereo with a 12” JL sub stuffed behind the seat and MQ Quart speakers in the doors. Life was good back then. And simple. Bring on the Slate 🤘🏼

First car: 1960 VW Beetle that I bought from my GF's dad in 1970. It had an AM radio for tech. Power windows and power mirrors were not in the Beetle "maker". Umm, De Ja Vu all over again. :)

It was a hand-me-down automatic. It survived well enough to get me 10/15mi. around town. No A/C, so it was less fun during the summer. I remember the transmission failing on it at least once. I didn't treat it as nicely as I should have and I regret it.

(Just an example,imagine it's green.)
