A few weeks ago I learned that the 6/24 Blank Slate w/standard range battery price would be <$25k. Seeking to again tap the wisdom of the crowd to identify the chemistry of the standard range battery.

Which means absolutely nothing but rumor.
We will know definitively in 11 days. Just a little 'Wisdom of the Crowd' exercise.

Opinion of the crowd vs Wisdom of the Crowd, hmmmmm

Think I’ll wait until 6/24 for Wisdom of the maker

On the surface I think.. drop a couple more bucks and get the longer range, but if low range LFP Has kind of a set it and forget it. Charge you 100% no problem... Significantly longer life with charging cycles... But not so great in cold performance. I guess we're going to actually have to understand what reality is before thinking about it too much.... There's probably a bunch of individual considerations depending on climate and use. Maybe they'll make it easy and just have one battery chemistry for all...

I believe it's going to be NMC, but it would be nice if it was LFP. LFP is better for fleets (I think) and the Slate success in the first few years will depend on Fleet sales.

I hope it's LFP.

Never liked the undercharging people do with NMC(80%, 90%, etc).

I always believe in charging to 100% - thus LFP would be better for me.

I charge my NMC to 100% as much as possible as there's a SOC buffer built in anyways.

just got the email back about that article saying the battery would be LFP slate basically says we can not confirm or deny it because slate official hasn't said anything so that seems to be the go to answer tell the 24th I'm betting lol they have become very very tight lipped since the start of this month

Without the tax credit, I feel the LFP cost-savings is required to hit that mid-20k target. I mean unless they can beat the typical $/kwh cost of NMC, but even a big player like Ford isn’t doing that for their UEV
