What will the chemistry be on the standard range battery?

Fair point, and agreed. I'd expect Merry Maids and NAPA to be pretty excited to grab a Slate. Right now they use Prius for most the Maids and NAPA uses the smallest cheapest things they can get their hands on. Here in town the NAPAs actually STILL using early gen Geo Metros with the rear seat removed and a cage behind the front seats. A Blank Slate would be pretty much perfect for them.

After reading about the price "leak", I think there is a good chance that Slate has a big reveal still to come. Total speculation: Maybe there will be no extended range battery. Slate has long had this idea of building one sku, extended range complicates that. I suspect the've gotten a fair about of feedback regarding 150 mile range not being quite enough for may drivers. So IF they are changing battery chemistry, maybe they decide to go with one battery say, LFP at 210-250 mile range. Again, a complete WAG, but I think a lot of people would be very happy with that at $25k.

Well, I got lucky. I was hoping for a little more range. Though I am still hoping that Slate is pretty confident about 205 mile range, and that a little more might be possible in some configurations. Slate's many configurations/options (lifted, lowered, wheels, SUV, etc) are going to change range, prehaps dramatically. The new Chevy Bolt has a 65kWh LFP battery, it weighs almost 300lbs less than the blank Slate and is more aerodynamic, so it's 255-262 mile range is a ceiling for the slate with the same battery. maybe though, when all is said and done, the Slate may eek out a few more (than 205) miles, 🤞220.

I'd like to see Slate match the Bolts 150kW dc charging speed.

Do you think that Slate will end up having an EPA estimated range for multiple configurations?

Also, has anyone heard since the chemistry change if the truck will have V2L?

You are very humble. I didn't see this coming and don't know anyone else that did. Thanks for pointing out that the 205-mile range is subject to change. 👍👍

Will the pickup configuration have the best range? In that case, do we want to know the lower range on other configurations? 😅

A few weeks ago I learned that the 6/24 Blank Slate w/standard range battery price would be <$25k. Seeking to again tap the wisdom of the crowd to identify the chemistry of the standard range battery.

The trade-off between price and battery chemistry is always the main thing to consider for entry-level vehicles.
