What will the service network be like?

I am very excited about this truck, i remember years ago being excited about electric cars because from a mechanical stand point... They are far simpler than a combustion engine and in theory should be more reliable. (Well minus batteries, but we seem to gotten over that tech hurdle)

None of that really panned out, all electric cars have been made more like smartphones with complex software.

Enter the slate.... What I have been waiting for


The only things i am still worried about it is:

1. How are these going to be serviced?
2. What are the odds the company fails? (I do not expect an answer, no one really knows)

But #1... that is a huge deal. Things break, it just happens. People receiving good or bad warrantee service can make or break a company.


Do we have any info on how this will work?

I have a preorder and all Slate has to do to convert it into a sale is give me the name and address of the Slate high voltage certified shop, RepairPal or not, they will send HV parts to and pay for my warranty repair. I don’t think that’s too much to ask.

Puzzled why Slate has not released an authoritative list of Repair Pal locations that have signed up and in what capacity.

I kind of suspect Slate is just planning a huge information dump on this sometime this fall? So they're saving their powder to make a bigger boom?
