So now there is no extended range battery. No power window option. The build site is cumbersome. My time is some time in 2027. So it looks as if I am going to wait for the second gen or go with the ford unfortunately I have to do something cause the transmission went out on the wife’s jeep
Waiting for the 2nd Gen probably will take you into 2029

I'm "First Shift" with the "2027, to be announced" delivery window. I think first shift just means we did the preorder when it first opened and delivery date is determined by reservation date (mine was Mar 2026).
Nope, it has to do with you adding another $250

I wanted this truck so bad, I went to at least 2 roadshows, but I really cant wait another year. More likely, I'll end up with Tacoma but those Mavrick prices are hard to beat for such an ugly "truck"

Disappointed in self, was really putting much faith in Tesla in 2019, then it all started. $39k Cybertruck would never happen and had to settle for this parasite truck in EV terms on far back side of the EV bubble. Time will tell.

Yep. I love NC, but some stuff here SUCKS. Our leaders tried to bribe VinFast to come to the middle of the state for manufacturing. VinFast said yes. Then delayed, and delayed. Meanwhile, they made a big balleyhoo about the new VinFast dealership nearby. That place can suck rocks and eggs for all I care. VinFast is screwing NC. NC is now sueing VinFast. It is a mess.

But, by golly, we got a dealership. Hip, hip hooray! NC Dealer Association rejoices! Ef 'em.
The only VinFast dealer on Long Island just closed kind of overnight. Vanished without a trace. They took down all the signage, moved out all the vehicles, and now it’s just another used car lot. Looks like a Dodge /Ram dealership is taking it over. It’s apparent VinFast is not achieving enough sales volume to justify the huge cost in maintaining that dealership.

No disappointment here. I was in at 25k for 150 miles range but was considering the extended battery if it wasn't too much more. >200 range for at the base price is awesome and easily enough for my needs.

The only accessories I want are center console, speakers (center and side), floor mats, and telematics unit which only add $1k to the price.

See. I feel the same, though I'm going in and buying one.
It won't be the exact one I wanted, for the add-ons are expensive. However I can understand how and why they would be at first, so I'm holding back on a lot of other accessories that I initially wanted and buy them later on.

Quite the array of reactions for the same truck. Reading through people’s posts, it seems to say more about the people than the truck. Put me down as “ecstatic.” I feel this is a unique moment in automotive history.
Count me also as EXCITED and committed.

I'm ecstatic. Medium range battery of 205 miles at a price point we thought was for 150 mile range. I don't want power windows and the build site only needs to be used once. I lived with 150 mile range battery for 4 years and it was a non-issue except it wasn't practical for a road trip.(It was CHADEMO so tough to find chargers on the road) 205 miles with NACS can be road tripped reasonably well when necessary. For instance, if I want to go to Hilton Head Island(~320 miles) it is 1 charging stop same as it is in my Tesla with 359 miles of range.
Hear hear! I'm excited, too. This start-up is doing so much in so little time, I have plenty of grace for some missteps here and there. Compared to all they're doing not just well but exceptionally well, I'm still over the moon. They've captured my imagination and they still have it.

I did 😅 I don't want one of the first off the assembly line, and the problems they might have. But I also don't want to wait forever.

NGL: That delivery date would be *perfect* for me, honestly.

Now I'm curious to know when I'll receive my window.
