And once you pre-order the emails telling you to per-order with continue until you tell Slate it's spam when unsubscribing from Slates spam emails.

I did, but i put in two preorders by mistake when I was trying to get in the 06/24 window a few hours early (12:01am CST). I cancelled one and kept the much older one. So now I keep getting (actual) mail and stuff encouraging me to pre-order for the one I cancelled.

It's actually kind of neat to personally experience what they are doing both for the cancels and the diehards.

If I read something on this forum and go to the Slate website and merely look at something, Slate sends me spam. The only way to stop it was to unsubscribe from Slate emails. I've preordered and I'm sure Slate will know how to tell me when it's time to send them the money.

I've only received the Crayola and Treehouse EV charger emails since then. And no calls. 🤷🏻‍♂️ Definitley not special. 😉

I've probably only gotten 2 emails for pre-ordering, with only one after I completed the $300 deposit. The rest has been encouraging to look at configuration and even that seems to be less than once a week.

Regardless, it feels like some people are annoyed by the emails and contact attempts. Unsubscribe, ask them to remove you from their call list. I've never been called, haven't gotten any physical mail (yet) or anything like that.

Think I'll get a new thread going covering what people have gotten for marketing out reach. Now I'm curious what other people are actually seeing regarding themselves (not just conjecture).

We will know sales figures once they are released. Until then anyone can make assumptions or conjectures. Speculation based on activities in not evidence.

who knows who is actually making the calls are doing the marketing, it would make sense it is farmed out. But that’s not evidence either, so it’s all pointless.
