My first vehicle was a hand-me-down 2-door Chevy S-10 from my stepdad. It had a cassette player, and tucked away in the glove box were just three tapes:

• George Carlin – Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television
• Animals/Zombies
• The Guess Who

Those three tapes got played over and over. So if I have to pick one song, I'm going with "Sky Pilot" by Eric Burdon & The Animals. It takes me right back to driving that old S-10.

Having flashbacks to the '92 Eclipse I used to drive. Hand-me-down, cassette player, and no AC in 104 degree heat with roll-down windows. I remember recording songs off the radio at home and just using that tape for awhile until it became common to use MP3 to cassette conversion things.

Not so much a rule, just a truth; just like there can only be one First Love, first movie you see in a theater, etc, you can only have one First Song you play. Unless you accidentally open two streaming options at once, I suppose. This is an exploration of what song you think will match your energy and mood when setting out on your first drive. And it has been very fun seeing everyone's ideas. 🥰
