We throw a tarp in before loading yard waste and mulch. I can unload a full bed load of yard waste in a minute or less, pull on the tarp and everything on it slides out. I don’t think you will need the plywood.

I would prefer it was on the front. I don’t like backing into parking spaces. It seems like there is always someone behind me. I rarely can back into my own driveway. When you back out of a spot, you can always wait to see when the traffic is clear.
