I feel like they'll get a good amount of fleet sales, about 30k Mavericks were sold to fleets, that's almost half what Slate would need. I feel like the blank Slate is made for fleets with none of the stuff they don't want, and maybe they'll even give fleets a discount like regular automakers...
I'm really pleasantly surprised by the battery option, it just makes sense now every Slate truly will be identical coming off the line. Also the solar tonneau option is really cool, great for camping or tailgating with a mini fridge and tv or what not.

I have a 2000 Ford Ranger Electric and initially didn't sign up to reserve a Slate as my Ranger is fairly comparable on everything but power and range, and for small EV trucks power isn't super important. Basically this would be an upgraded version of what I have.

I think, and hope that the facility tour chassis was a beta one they were trying out and they finalized on driver rear. Using a NACS and using the Tesla Supercharger network, the driver rear is the best position as that is what most superchargers are configured for, with fairly short cables.
