I may go this route as well. I currently have one in my car but find it to sometimes be a nuisance and use my phone instead. I will probably start with just my phone and see where we go from there.
Someone should integrate a screen into a cubby door, while giving enough room for the cubby door...
It's a well reasoned conversation about Slate's business proposition. I think the sticking point in a lot of ways is misconception and/or bots spewing non truths. Heck, maybe even big auto is behind it. I cant even say how many times people have said Slate doesn't come with arm rests, or AC, or...
The good thing is the truck has a relatively low bed height stock... which would make this easier. Curious if a zero turn would fit between wheel wells with the deck on.
Yeah, im good with the intrusion of the roll cage. It would be nice to still throw a couple of Kayaks in there without the seats.. or whatever really to still use the bed. Not sure if Im getting the SUV kit at this point if its meant to be a semi-permenant solution. A pull off top like a Jeep...
That would be a missed opportunity if its bolted. It would be cool if they had an easy to remove system with a release handle like many other vehicles. Hopefully they fold flat at least.
I haven't seen or heard this addressed anywhere... has anyone seen good shots of the rear seat mounting? I have to get an SUV kit due to kids, but I would love to be able to remove the top and seats to use the bed. Ideally they could fold forward to give more cargo space also.
Worse case scenario, you get it and decide its not for you. The immediate resale on it with low miles has to be pretty good if you have a relatively early delivery date.
Thanks for sharing that front end picture, it sure looks pretty sturdy in the front and pretty easy to mount up to. I would love a winch in the front, never even thought about utilizing a hitch receiver for it.
