I don’t know if anyone mentioned this but the Slate comes with a charging cable to at is capable of level 2 charging. You’d just need a 240v outlet. Yes, you’d have to pay to have one installed if you don’t have it already, I just often see posts in other social media making charging an EV seem...
I understand you guys are just joking, yet hopeful, but I still keep seeing articles about Slate with Jeff’s name in it as if it’s his company.
Jeff Bezos has an ownership stake, but is only a financial investor for Slate and not owner or operator. He’s not involved in day-to-day management nor...
Yea that sounds like what 3M 1080 wrap vinyl already is. Which is what is already used to wrap vehicles. I’ll watch when I can. It sounds like something else is specific to the slate other than just the pre-cutting.
I admit that I have not gotten the opportunity to watch the interview, but I assumed the vinyl kits were the usual 3M wrap vinyl, but pre-cut. Are Slates vinyl kits different in other ways or was she just describing how wraps are for people who aren’t familiar?
It is frustrating but I still get it. You don’t want to give answers that people are going to run with and spread before production has begun. I mean, look what I did. Got an answer and went straight to share here. Which is why I think this seems like something that will be made available.

We’ve got a Hyundai Kona EV and the app has always worked as intended and doesn’t cost a subscription fee. Obviously it’s a larger company that can afford to run it I guess. The slate fob already looks as though it can do remote climate start anyway but obviously it would only be at the range of...
“Reason for the Change
Slate Auto restructured its leadership to support growth as it shifts from development to production and sales of its affordable electric pickup truck. Barman now focuses on vehicle creation, testing, manufacturing, engineering, design, and quality assurance—areas aligning...
I recently asked Slate how/if their app will work when your phone is not plugged into the car. Diagnostics, remote climate control, EV charging incentive programs that require date collection, etc. Here is their response.
I was considering this too, however I still don’t know how I’d get it to work in the Slate. I would like the in-dash mounted speakers (if they’re any good) and they would need an aux input to plug in this screen, not to mention power. Also, if this will be using Bluetooth to connect to my phone...
