  1. Absolutely buying, but worried about this one thing...

If I remember correctly, the top speed is 90MPH and they've done hot weather testing in Arizona/Death Valley over the summer, but don't remember if they discussed any issues with the panels
  2. Events Page Conclusions

Their design studio is in long beach, which is probably where they keep the marketing cars they show off at these events (in addition to warsaw and michigan). So their events in LA are likely due to staff location/availability and vehicle location
  3. The itch that Slate scratches, the one that it sort of doesn’t

They've shared the top speed is 90mph, so hopefully enough for you to cruise on the FL freeways! I'm definitely not expecting to be a speed racer in my mid-20k priced Slate, so will probably stick closer to the right lane for me
  4. Is anyone going to the California event?

looks like they added a couple of events in Los Angeles and Long Beach for April
  5. Delivery timing?

They've been saying pricing june, production starts this summer, demo drives fall, first deliveries Nov/Dec 2026. This article lists things out in a bit more detail- https://www.newsweek.com/midwest-industrial-ev-powerhouse-11373949
  6. Slate Delivery- Home Address

I called in to ask about delivery options to see if there was anything new in the works, but heard pretty much the same news they've been saying. However, the girl mentioned I didn't have my home address in my Slate account, and that it helps them know where they'll be sending my Slate once they...
  7. Actively considering cancelling reservation.

the way i see it, is I really have nothing to lose by letting them hold onto my reservation. It's fully refundable at any time, and I'm not necessarily hurting for an extra $50 for now. In my most recent convo with Slate (they must be so tired of me by now lol) they referenced the Warsaw article...
  8. New Slate event at San Clemente CA - Saturday, Jan 31

I saw a post on facebook from someone after the OC cars and coffee in January, I'll see if I can find the pics they posted. still the blank slate at that one.. agreed they should be better about posting these events on their social media
  9. Well they didnt say no

I got curious about who these people are and searched up Slate Agent at Slate Auto on linkedin, not trying to be a creeper or anything but I found a bunch of them listed there. Most of the agent team seem to have several years experience at other automotive companies
  10. Well they didnt say no

agreed. hopefully they pay attention to these forums and take some notes
  11. Well they didnt say no

I actually asked about this too because there's a lot of car theft in Fresno, well moreso the bay area, and this is what they told me back in November: For the external panels, even though you can see some fasteners from the outside taking a panel off isn’t as simple as removing a couple of...
  12. Well they didnt say no

I called in earlier this week and tried to push for more info, the agent flat out said there's a lot of internal conversations and plans that can't be shared yet since it's not publicly announced. I'm sure they all signed NDAs when they were hired, so they don't necessarily want to lose their...
  13. Anyone Else Concerned

The CEO just interviewed with newsweek on Monday and shared this quote about the factory progress: " “Today, we’re finishing the last concrete pours. We’re in the process of wiring electrical systems for our robots and putting more robots in place. Remodeling office spaces to take them from the...
  14. When do you think reservations will convert to orders?

yeah, a non-refundable deposit would make sense so they could gauge who's actually planning to or has the means to buy the truck.
  15. Q&A with CEO Chris Barman (Dec 16, 2025). Slateforums gets a shout out 🙌

You can still send your questions to their support team, seems like they're the same ones who are answering all these Q&As. With this trickle of personal replies, they're probably just working down the list of 4000 questions. You can chat with them pretty instantly or email and get a response...
