I really don't think they will even attempt converting reservations to orders until within a few months of delivery, and with targeted delivery "by the end of the year" I think Q1 and Q2 are out.
Whether they start converting to orders Q3 or Q4 probably depends on what "end of the year" ends up being, which they probably don't know for sure.
I'm sure they built some slack into the "end of 2026" time frame, so if everything went perfectly they could beat it by some months.
On the other hand, there may be reasons like new state incentives that some may want to put off their delivery until 2027 anyway, even if offered a fall delivery.

Unless very significant incentives I think impact will be more individual cases, not Slate. Worst case Slate may reallocate distribution but more likely they just move down the list to find replacement for those who chose to wait. Maybe the fact I’m not anticipating incentives colors my opinion.

I wonder if they will use the same logic for conversion invites as they are planning for delivery. If they do we should know where our early reservations may stand as compared to actual delivery.

Shouldn’t conversion be tied to delivery?
Will conversion require more than our $50 refundable? Perhaps a non refundable deposit?

I am assuming that conversion will be tied to delivery. That’s how we will find out which regions will be delivered first.

Now for the deposit. Yes it will likely be a nonrefundable deposit. That is in line with current OEM dealers today. Most likely in the $500-$1,000 range.

yah that’s what I’m thinking I was thinking they might do it early to lock in logistics and see where the actual high demand is

yeah, a non-refundable deposit would make sense so they could gauge who's actually planning to or has the means to buy the truck.
