  1. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

And this is why I'm opting out of continuing this conversation. The article lists some key economic assumptions used when coming up with things like the "law" of supply and demand. Maybe try to tackle basic literacy before diving in to macro economics.
  2. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

Again you're taking this way beyond my original intent which was simply addressing your idea that "The economic laws of supply and demand are not a "nice theory"". When in fact they are built on assumptions such as "holding all else equal" that you were kind enough to point out. All else is not...
  3. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

And that's exactly my original point. A ton of assumptions are made when calling it a "law".
  4. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

So you're saying the law is price goes up sales go down? If that's the case why has the Maverick sold more each year despite the price going up?
  5. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

I wasn't really getting in to that I was just calling out that a lot of "laws" in social sciences like economics aren't exactly set in stone. Concepts like what people are willing to pay for things like cars (a very emotional purchase) are far from an exact science.
  6. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

I mean this is far from the point of this thread but economic "laws" are built on a myriad of assumptions such as perfectly competitive markets and rational decision makers, which rarely translate to the actual real world.
  7. Slate starting price isn't set yet says CEO (per Insideevs interview)

Well if you're gonna get technical you should probably mention that was for a single month. In general when people talk about profit or loss they are usually speaking about quarterly or annual like in a 10-K or a 10-Q.
  8. Slate truck build: official OEM lift kit, side steps, roof rack, bed rack, fender flares, alloy wheels 😍

Yeah that's always my first thought is man those look loud and inefficient. But appreciate those other recommendations, that's some great feedback.
  9. Anyone Else Concerned

Not concerned. They are very heads down right now. From an Chris in an article this week: "Today, we’re finishing the last concrete pours. We’re in the process of wiring electrical systems for our robots and putting more robots in place. Remodeling office spaces to take them from the ’80s to...
  10. Slate truck build: official OEM lift kit, side steps, roof rack, bed rack, fender flares, alloy wheels 😍

I'm liking those wheels and tires on it. Any one here ever run the KO2? I'm curious how they perform in different conditions and how they are on the road.
  11. AWD! Please!

:CWL: try to join the rest of us in reality
  12. AWD! Please!

People in here talking about which axles are driven, diffs, lockers etc etc Completely ignoring the most important part of traction: the 4 round things at each corner. Go buy the right tires for your use case before you try to slap a whole nother motor or differential in the front of your truck.
  13. AWD! Please!

Cool, go get your $50 back. The rest of us made a reservation knowing it was going to be RWD. If you want a more expensive, more complex drive train the good news is there are plenty of other options out there for you.

  16. Video: Slate SUV top rear glass hinge flips up + cargo area room / size (relative to hockey bag)

This forum just gets more annoying at every video release. 😭😭😭😭😭😭This fun short form content video didn't answer the specific niche question that I didn't actually ask them and now I'm here to cry about it 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 FFS go ask Slate if you have questions. That's the whole point of these videos...
  17. Ford Level 3 Eyes-Off Driving to launch on $30K Ford EV Truck

Now tell them one has the promised vehicle on the road driving today, and the other has..... powerpoint presentations?
  18. Ford Level 3 Eyes-Off Driving to launch on $30K Ford EV Truck

Absolutely bonkers that any one would believe anything coming from the most recalled brand in 2025, that just took a nearly $20 billion write off on their EV program, and has shown nothing material related to this vehicle besides press releases and one possible exterior image. This was an...
