I agree that it looks great, and my guess is that it really is representative of the final product. My question would be: what is the price of a Slate equipped in this manner? Probably not "mid-20s".

I don't see anything there that should take the price up that much. Maybe high 20s with that set of equipment, but I don't think it could be more than a few thousand in accessories.

I've driven them on my FIL's Tacoma, and I do generally like them. They are pretty good at everything, and are really the "classic" AT tire at this point. You can see Tire Rack's useful review on them here: https://www.tirerack.com/tires/bfgoodrich-all-terrain-t-a-ko2

The downside I see is that in that size, LT245/75-R17 (31.5" diameter), if I'm reading the sidewall correctly, that is an E load rated tire, and it is almost 50 lbs. It will be hell on range, as well as loud and uncomfortable with those LT sidewalls rattling that tiny truck around. E load rating and LT sidewalls are really intended for much heavier trucks, pulling heavy loads. The temptation is strong to put them on smaller trucks, but people are rarely satisfied with the result.

Something with an S or XL load rating would be a lot more comfortable, and improve range, and there are still plenty of capable options. I switched to Vredestein Pinza AT on my Tacoma and I've been very happy with them. The 235/75-R17 (36lbs, 30.9" diameter) would be a good fit on the Slate. Gets excellent reviews on Tire Rack. Slightly less aggressive for offroad compared to the TA KO2 or KO3, but better all-around.

Yeah that's always my first thought is man those look loud and inefficient. But appreciate those other recommendations, that's some great feedback.

It's neat they show the fender flairs on the driver side and not on the passenger.
