Honestly, I donāt see this truck being a highway runner. It is much much more suited to being on the city streets, country roads or on the dirt and gravel of the country side.

Being the owner of two EVās I can assure you there are producers for putting them into neutral for an extended period for towing. Or more accurately, for loading on a roll back.

If you you can conclude anything from the Slate Website Events page, it is that these trucks are going to California and Fleet buyers way before those of us that live elsewhere are going to have a chance of receiving one. š

The only hint so far has been a comment from the CEO that they will start deliveries on a regional bases. They have not disclosed what the regions are or what it is based on.
The bottomline is that our reservation position will not play the primary factor in when we might see our order open...
I do expect the Ford to have a larger footprint than the Slate. I also expect it to have a larger $30k footprint than the Slate. I am interested in the long range battery of the Slate so I fully expect my Slate truck configuration to slide into the $30k category. You can see it in my aviator.
