Our electric company will credit $500 for the install (covers the charger purchase but not the install)
we have off peak already and the kWh price is 1/2 normal rate
I agree, if someone can point out negatives that are truly negative instead of casting a wide net ānobody wants thisā āeveryone wants thatā Iām all in to watch
right now all I really want to see is closeups and information, I can decide if itās good, bad, or ugly
point taken, but I also feel that by watching the video and seeing all the misleading information that they say are facts kind of show that someone is fearful that Slate will succeed and disrupt the market
I think a base battery will be a miss, most produced will probably be extended range (but $3,000 less looks better on paper)
I think what the naysayers are missing here is small business and fleet vehicles, now add the early adopters on an individual level, then add the wow, thatās what I need...
I agree, by his logic the corvette wouldnāt be a thing, an ev wouldāve never been created, and life would only be about features and price
the slate for me will not be a second vehicle, or a 3rd, in fact it has nothing to do with a need at all, it has more to do with a want, it fits in with the...
Generally itās not the dealer, itās factory rebates, dealers spend about $6 per day per vehicle for having the car on their lot on consignment, they pay for it once it sells, called a floor plan, the manufacturer needs to sell those units to get paid so they can put more vehicles on that lot
im banking it will work because of how I and seemingly many feel
I have said for years now if a company made a stripped down vehicle or remade a say 1970 Chevy c10 with todayās engine and suspension but bare bones interior and interior technology it would be a huge sucess
similar to the slate...
Iām reading this thread and wondering why slashsnake is on this forum, it seems to me he is a āitās going to fail no matter whatā kind of guy
obviously not a customer and itās evident this vehicle wouldnāt fit his needs if they gave it away
Thank you, Iāll have to educate myself
one of my thoughts was to possibly get a narrower tire on a second set of rims to see what that does for efficiency or electrons per mile š¤£š¤£š¤£
sorry for my lack of understanding, like many Iāll be new to the ev world
why would you need special tires for this EV, itās 3,600 lbs which is the weight of a Subaru outback
I understand for other EVs, the rivian r1t is 7,200 lbs which would need a higher load range
its hard to say
itās likely add ons could run in the $1,000s for most add ons (rear seats and topper kit) their finance company could see this as a great opportunity
itās not likely someone will whip out their discover card to spend $5,000 @ 29% interest
one of the things they state is the...
I wonder if SLATE will offer separate payment plan or financing for additional accessories after the sale as in a revolving line of credit
purchase some accessories, pay them down buy more
Not sure how it would ever work but it would be nice to have suit case batteries that you could drop in the box (2 or 4) to extend the range even further, add weight for the winter and/or get you just a bit further to the charging station when you push it too far
kind of like the ryobi zero...
Most new vehicles unfortunately donāt have spares, and most owners wouldnāt know how to put on a spare (not saying Slate owners will fit that demographic since the pickup is a DIY vehicle)
my work Jeep compass comes with a mini air compressor that has fix a flat built in
