Agreed. I think the general expectation for audio quality in the Slate is relatively low. That said, throw enough after market dollars at an audio solution and you can get something fairly spectacular. People will vote with their dollars.
12v outlet or 12v battery? I ask because more than one person on this forum has claimed that Slate is including a 12v battery. I’ll believe it when I see it. Until then I’m going with a voltage step down converter.
My wild ass guess is that the extended battery cost per unit is about $9.5K based on the SK-On info shared publicly. That’s $39.58 per mile of range quoted by Slate. That’s just under $6K for the standard range. Thus the delta is roughly $3.5K.
I’m a cyclist. I need/want a firm seat. Sofas are actually not that different. A firmer seat cushion will hold its shape a lot longer than a soft plushy cushion.
This is the danger of showing early Beta units to the public. Everyone wants to see something that reflects production units and that’s not what we’re getting. It’s frustrating. But also understandable. Next year will be different.
That’s a lot of conjecture. I do Bluetooth in now and the sound is fine for me, but then again I chalk that up to the fine job Toyota did with JBL on the sound system. Based on what I’ve seen so far, I don’t think Slate will offer a wired connection between the phone (music source) and a speaker...
