Or a Ford F150 Lightning EV.
I had for a year the '22 Lariat trim Lightning truck and it had all those features, but it costed $70,000 w/ $7500 tax credit.
My current EV is a Mach E but that costed $54,000 w/ $3750 tax credit.
For this mini EV truck, I just want the basics to get me to work...
Yes, makes sense for EV and PHEV to have that.
I just hope Slate does not do what Tesla did - 1PD only.
I prefer 2PD with light regen while coasting - like my Mach E.
Yes the Lightning can do V2H but the slate has a tiny, half the capacity battery compared to the Lightning.
Not much energy to put back into a house......
And here I am with a Mach E with 225/55R19 stock Michelins.
At 30K miles, looking for a +1 or +2 up in width and height.
And it has to be RFT.
Tough part is finding the load & speed rating at or above the factory spec.
If you want an EREV, look at the Scout.
If you want just a simple small truck for local commutes then the Slate will do the job.
I have the Ford Mach E and its 70kWh battery is more than enough for daily commuting plus road trips.
I have a reservation on the Scout as well to transition from...
EVs are amazing - as long as the load is not taller than the cab height, it will get almost the same range due to aerodynamics.
When I had the Ford Lightning EV, it would haul half ton weights in the bed without any issue.
I don't care if the battery is 400 or 800v.
I just want to access Tesla Superchargers where I normally charge my Mach E.
With such a small battery, it should be enough time to get a coffee or bathroom trip.
I love my NMC 2 year old Ford Mustang Mach E.
70kWh battery is more than enough for my daily commutes.
Hope it allows charging at Tesla Superchargers where I charge mine at least 4 times a month.
Based on past reservations with: Ford Lightning, Ford Mach E, GMC Denali EV, Chevy EV....
None of them had any rhyme or reason who was next.
My 2022 Ford Lightning EV was delivered way ahead of others because I am in an EV friendly state that gave Ford credits. 3 months after reservation...
