It’s been my experience is that nobody remembers to plug in and recharge pallet jacks, forklifts, etc. And when it’s time for you to use it, the charge is nearly empty. This mindset needs to change with a Slate in your fleet.
Slate has often suggested in their media reveals that their vehicles would be perfect for fleet sales, e.g. delivery services, home repair contractor, property management, commercial plumbing, HVAC and electrical contractors, etc.

Not sure, but in this view, it appears the hidden dash panel has a 12V power car plug for ham radios, dashcams, and radar detectors. USB ports would also be nice!
Amateur Radio Fans:
Appears that Slate's open dash panel design may be ideally suitable for mounting a mini–Amateur Radio or GMRS mobile rig. This location would be superior to cup holder mounts or under dash brackets. The flip open panel will keep the unit visible and neatly hidden from view...
I fully agree that Slate’s business model with a single, basic configuration and DIY customization is definitely a game changer. For some, it can be the fun ‘project car’ we always wanted.
But is Slate really going against the grain? The short answer is “no”. We can all agree the design...
That’s the best case for sure. When the ambient temperature drops to 30 degrees and below, I guarantee the quoted range will drop like a rock. Anyone with an EV knows this. The Slate is being built in Indiana with corporate HQ in Michigan, so they know what ‘real winters’ are like.

"Our fictional rendering depicts a slightly larger Slate with three-row seating. It could be pivotal for the company's ambitious production target."
Also known as the 3rd brake light. In all current Slate media the CHMSL is not shown on preproduction models. This is required by NHTSA to prevent rear end collisions since 1986. On the base truck it should be over the rear glass on the cab, if the SUV kit is ordered then it will need to be...
Nice detail! Decent ratings for treadwear 500; traction A, temperature A. Keep in mind the 17” wheel will deliver higher range than the optional 20” wheels. But I still prefer the look of the 20” wheels.

The tablet can be removed from the holder and hidden within the vehicle. Or taken with you. I would probably just remove it and place under the driver’s seat when parked.
In 1989, the average new car price in the US was roughly $15,000. At that time, Hyundai introduced a new car called the Excel with a starting price < $5,000. Everyone was astonished as to how they can produce such an high value, inexpensive vehicle.
