The blocky shape of the Truck signals that it's designed for day-to-day local driving. It's not particularly suitable for highway road trips.
I'll be amazed If the Truck's range at 75mph versus 45mph is reduced by anything less than 30%.
The blocky shape doesn't matter much at low speeds. At...
I think so, and it isn't even close.
Chris Barman says there are some people will want a workhorse and some who will want their vehicle to be a means of personal expression.
The Leaf wouldn't appeal to either of those... at any price.
Let me take a whack at that argument.
IMHO it isn't even close to a forgone conclusion that a Leaf priced the same as the Truck would be chosen.
Here's a non-exhaustive list of reasons:
Direct-to-Consumer model (no stealership)
Low cost of operation
Very low maintenance
Emphasis on safety...

Bluetooth uses battery power.
Bluetooth broadcasts an identity beacon.
Some people believe Bluetooth's 2.4gHz RF is harmful to health.
I'd prefer Digital Minimalist speakers with aux input, and Bluetooth that can be turned off.
To the contrary, the reason for my posts (I can only speak for myself) is because I saw a problem existing and wanted it to be avoided.
I saw a lot of people expecting the Truck to be heavier-duty than it actually will be, and capable of doing some "truck things" it won't be suitable for...
I didn't intend to suggest that load capacity should be pickup-like with the SUV Kit installed. Obviously it wouldn't.
FWIW, unless the driver weighs under 130 lbs and there's nothing in the frunk or cab except the driver, 1,200 lbs in the bed exceeds the Truck's capacity load capacity.
That...
The 1,433 lbs starting point is good for a small pickup for sure.
It becomes 1,131 lbs with the Extended Battery option.
Adding 700+ lbs of options could reduce it to below 700 lbs if the Spare Carrier weighs ~60 lbs or more. (Tire and wheel are probably in the 60-65 range.)
Extended Battery...
According to CarsDirect citing “latest order guide data,” the 2026 Nissan Leaf S will start at $25,360 before destination or $26,855 after a $1,495 freight charge.. (source)

Cherry-picking that reason (that isn't even the reason) is spin.
The bill aims to ensure public safety by maintaining access to AM radio for emergency alerts, as it serves as a critical communication tool during disasters when other systems may fail. Additionally, it supports diverse...
It would be cost less to make it not capable and require the Hitch Receiver option if you want to tow.
I'm assuming a more capable bumper costs more to make, which is a pretty safe assumption.
More to the point of the thread, a recent-model Civic almost certainly has more load-carrying capacity than a Truck if the Truck has an Extended Battery, an SUV Kit, and a spare tire on a Spare Carrier, which will have a load capacity of well under 800 lbs.
There's no need to concentrate on any...
Chinese Automakers—Shut Out of America—Focus on Europe
Stella Li, BYD executive vice president, said in Munich that the global EV leader BYD’s Dolphin Surf will be the first company model made in Europe, at the forthcoming $4.64 billion factory in Szeged, Hungary, that will start production...
From looking at the what we've seen so far the hinges are there but the partition (front-of-the-bed piece people are calling a midgate) doesn't allow the window to be opened because it overlaps the bottom of the window.
The same window and its surrounding fascia/halo move to the back of the SUV...
I've towed with a hitch ball mounted on a bumper since several decades ago, so I know how that works.
That's why I can look at the bumpers we've seen so far and tell they weren't designed to accept a hitch ball and safety chains.
Slate's design philosophy is to leave out what isn't necessary...
Seems different to me because it's not just a change to the gauge's reading.
For it to be the same there would need to be 30-40 miles worth of reserve fuel in the tank that's inaccessible unless/until the ICE vehicle's manufacturer sends an update to the ICE vehicle's computer.
