Their $20K price target (not $25K) has always been quoted as after tax credit, not before. It would not surprise me if it ends up being $25K after tax credit though, everything seems to just keep going up in price.
That's what I hear about the pre-2024 Model 3s, but I've never experienced it myself.
My Model Ys have all been pretty good, but I'm used to a stiff performance or truck suspension, so that may be why. The ride got even better though when I replaced the stock 21" wheels with 18s and got tires...
Again, literally nobody said that people want less range.
We're simply saying with a smaller battery comes less cost and less range. It also means you're not paying for range you don't need if you're using this as a grocery getter or utility vehicle around town and/or the farm. People looking...
That's not my point. My point was owning one to justify the quality of construction (luxury or not).
The Model 3 doesn't have a truck bed or a frunk as large as the Slate. The $35K price you're quoting is also RWD, not AWD. It also doesn't have the ease of accessorizing or repairing that the...
Do you own a Tesla? I do and I never said it was a luxury brand. The crap they get for "quality" though is way over the top. It's not really much worse than the two dozen other cars I've owned, some of them base models.
What I DID say is that they aren't even going for the same demographic as...
Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous, even laughable. I keep seeing the media say "Tesla killer" and I keep saying "Slate is literally not even marketing to the same demographic..." 😂🤣🤦♂️
They will impact efficiency some, but probably not much since it's already a brick. I added aggressive off road tires (and went from 21" to 18" non-EV Method MR707 wheels) to my Tesla that raised the ride height by about an inch and didn't notice much of a difference.
Where did it say that in the email? I ordered the very SECOND the form when live and my reservation number (SL8-5528-3999-4833) appears to be higher than people who ordered after me... 🤔
Could be, but it's also a possibility they only sent the email to people who they didn't have an address for. Email marketing apps are pretty connected and sophisticated these days, so it's likely they have some sort of connection back to their server(s) from their mailing list vendor to be able...
Haha, I just posted about their merch in another forum and then saw this.
Was just going through the site to see what I want for Father's Day, haha. Saw that at least some of the merch is made in the USA. Fitting for a company who will likely be selling the most American-made car you can buy soon.
Was looking at the merchandise on Slate Auto's website, seeing what I can send to my wife to tell her I want for Father's Day. 😛
It appears that at least some of their merch is made in the USA. How fitting for a company who may soon be selling the most American-made automobile you can buy. ♥️
I see nothing wrong with it. There are people doing it for Tesla / Rivian factories as well. People are curious, and in the case of Slate, VERY excited for this to happen.
People here in Warsaw who were "#neverEV" are now like "Oh man... I might actually buy one of these..." It's pretty awesome...
I've considered taking my drone out there, but they said it's going to be a bit before they start hauling in equipment because there's a lot of partitions / walls that need to come down for what they are doing (requires a lot of wide open space).
There is nothing inherently illegal about flying...
Yeah, there is a MASSIVE amount of acreage here for expansion. This is the satellite view of the property. The property is outlined in the blue/green color.
Another cool thing, as you can see, is the local bike trails run through the north end of the property. Depending where they rent/buy...
