I keep having the same thoughts. It’s kind of a gitchy thing when electric windows were cheaply mastered in the 1970’s… AWD? I get that. Electric windows? Not as much. Still gunning for 12/2026!

Hey Dean, Where in KY are you located? (Just curious as a native Kentuckian.) E90400K is alright. He is skeptical, but seems to have some engineering chops, so I read (or skim) most of what he posts to bounce against what I thought I already understood. Anyway, your mileage may vary...

No, dammit. I want what I want when I want it! I paid my $50, and I want it. We'll have flying cars in 2028.
  16. Slate not likely to be a top safety pick by Consumer Reports (due to lack of BSW)

This is a great topic. For years, I added the convex circle mirrors to my side mirrors. Now, alas, I'm completely spoiled by the wonderous technology that yells at me when I attempt to pull into a passing car at 75mph... I'd probably go the autozone route on this little truck.
  17. Rising used car prices is good news for Slate!

I drove a 1983 Ford Escort in 1991 for a semester. It had been wrecked and sort of rebuilt by my dad - $350! It leaked and 3rd gear didn’t work. It was a step up from a ten-speed bike in the Atlanta heat though….
