Sadly, I think many interpret that to mean they can cross anywhere and don’t even have to look, just step out and go.
as a driver I can surely respect a crosswalk, so should pedestrian.
About a year ago, a friend suggested I try Perplexity as he was impressed. At the time I was having challenges with my tractor. It had spent6 weeks back at dealer where tech couldn’t replicate problem, overall a frustrating mess. So I figured I’d try Perplexity, nothing to lose right.

I didn’t one either, even though when queried Slate said they were still sending them out. I was a day 2 reservation, so kinda stings, someone deprioritized me.
Thanks, totally agree.
If Slate does not make this available, then I will be forced to await a 3rd party topper vs over paying for parts I neither want nor need.
More than likely, any reduction to the total SUV price will tempt me to look other accessories.
Hopefully, someone at Slate is...
Apparently, still much to be resolved.
got this yesterday
Hi David,
Love the questions, and I can tell you’ve really been thinking through how to make your Slate your own (the topper setup sounds great).
The SUV and Cargo Kits are designed to serve different needs, the SUV adds enclosed...
Agreed, prefer the non seat/rollbar option and hope keeping the lower midgate is an option (help keep my dogs in the back) Locally, apu with bed topper is quite common, suspect Slate sees that as an option. If I can’t get the SUV topper without seat& roller ball for reasonable $$, then waiting...
I’ve never done a wrap, but if we are concerned people can’t or won’t do a good job, I’m afraid to think how they would botch a paint job. I suspect removing a bad vinyl will be far easier than removing a bad paint job.
Gosh, I really need to work on my being always right skills - so lacking…
My take - the predominate buyer is for a small, 2 door, EV, TRUCK, other considerations are less important to most, but vary.
Will I add the SUV top? Yes. Just like I’ve added a Leer topper to my last 4 trucks. Will I...
Hoping the full on SUV is closer to $3500 vs $5000 and further reduced maybe 1/3 to 1/2 (or more) without rollbar and seats. Pretty much decided I can survive nicely with standard battery, but would keep an open mind as to a new alternative.
Maintenance, like brakes, I’d use a service.
Accessories, DYI. Once the SUV mod was in place, it would stay, but I’m enthusiastic about that removable roof panel.
