Could the rack towers from Slate be used on an Open Air SUV? Or would the attachment points for the two get in each other's way?
I don't see a choice in the Maker for adding rack towers to the Open Air SUV model, or either of the hardtop SUV models either. Doesn't necessarily mean it couldn't be...
The roll-bars for the open-air SUV look like the perfect framework for a canvas convertible soft-top, like a Wrangler or a Bronco might get.
Nothing is offered or even hinted at by Slate. I wonder how long it would take a third-party vendor like Bestop to come out with one. That's assuming Slate...

One responder who has driven regular rear-drive pick-up trucks mentioned axle hop as a problem on bumpy roads. I believe the Slate has a De Dion rear suspension rather than the typical solid axle found on a standard pick-up truck. If so, that should eliminate axle hop.
