Yep. Like I said, much of the time 4WD is not needed. But like you said, there are times when it is needed. My son lives in a place where without 4WD he might not make it out of the neighborhood.

. Being raised in Michigan in the 50s and 60s I don’t get the need for 4WD! I know it’s handy sometimes and maybe even necessary at times but we never had it and my current old pickup doesn’t have 4WD. Most of the time there’s really no need for it. As Click and Clack the Car Talk guys used...

Back in the day (1960s-‘70s) O-60 in 10 seconds was pretty good! 0-60 in 8 seconds was pretty great! I don’t see any problem with the 0-60 time and even the top speed. Honestly, how often would anyone need anything faster? All looks good to me.

We have a 30 amp plug on our house for when my son comes to visit in his RV. I’m thinking I could use that for my Slate. Will have to do some more checking on that. This will be my first EV.

I plan on painting the wheels, the grill and the top white. Kinda like some of the new Broncos. Love that look. No other modifications.

I’m looking forward to seeing one in person. But I’ve called Slate a couple times about different things and the people I’ve talked to have been wonderful! I want to buy a Slate just to help support them!

I was thinking the same thing about the Slate being a great first car for a teen or college bound kid. In fact I’m buying mine thinking in 6 or 7 years my now 10 year old grandson would be ready for a car and I could pass it along to him. I’m 77 years old so who knows how long I’ll be hanging...

Thanks. I pretty much did that when I bought a new little Honda Civic back in the early ‘80s so I’ll probably do it again with the Slate. Been waiting for a vehicle like this for a long time!

How could anyone buy something totally unseen, or not sat in or not driven? I would hope Slate has some kind of plan for this!

I definitely want a Slate and am on the list but I really need to see and sit in one (like I would buy and not a prototype) before I buy it.
