I love how he said the Slate brought back memories of his Ford Ranger. I felt the same way when I saw that photo on the flatbed. That was when the Ranger had two doors, two seats and a livable ride height.
Actually, I don’t think I would consider this extension of the bed as being a long bed. Looking at the bed profile, that rear quarter after the wheel well is unusually short. I wanted to know why that quarter wasn’t extended to give the bed a few more inches of length.
