I drove to the Los Angeles showing in Compton, CA and was a little disappointed. It was Friday rush hour(s) traffic and also Halloween. I left work, early, in Orange County. Trying to get there after work was a bear in LA traffic. A friend of mine was coming from a different direction in the San Fernando Valley and he eventually gave up because of the traffic. Both of us actually tried to plan our trips using public transportation but this is LA. What public transportation? I got to the location and there was no parking in the small parking lot. The Slate was on display in conjunction with a local low rider car show and most of the parking spaces were taken by the attendees or by the cars, themselves. No street parking on the congested street. I ended up driving around the block a couple of times just to get a glimpse of it as I drove by.
Hopefully, Slate will display the truck again, in several locations around the 4000 square mile Metro LA area with better access and timing.

Looks like they have dropped the Nashville dates that had originally been posted for December. 😠😡😡😠

I reached out to Slate and they agreed that the timing and location setup wasn’t spot on. They did say there would be more dates and locations for viewing in the LA area, starting in the next few weeks. I like the key word, locations. Based on my attendance of new car debuts, you need more than just a community park appearance to show off your new ride in this car town.

I haven't even seen a photo posted from there. Sounds like it was even worse than I feared. There was no mention of a low rider show in the event details. I'd have been coming from even farther away, probably twice as far as either of you.
They need to be sure there is access, available parking etc for people who weren't going to be there without the truck being there.
I Kind of feel like showing up somewhere without capacity, don't bother announcing it, just be there for the people who were already going to that event and never heard of Slate.

The only thing currently on events are Charlotte and San Diego, each for 2 days.

What I really want to see is the pickup configuration anyway, and photos posted from recent events seem to all be SUV versions.
