We're happy to announce the Slate Forums App for iOS is now available on the Apple App store!

What is it?
You'll notice that the app is virtually identical to the mobile version of the site, and that's basically what it is. It's our mobile site, but with the added functionality of the menu bar shortcut tools and most importantly - push notifications, so you'll now be able to receive alerts on your phone! We decided against a clean-sheet app design because of the many forum/site functions that would be lost with that approach. This way, the app appears and behaves in the same familiar (and full-fledged) way that you're already used to. 👍
Push notification alerts
The biggest benefit of the app is push alerts to your phone. You can set your app push alert event settings in your account's preferences menu (under the "Receive a notification when someone…" section).
Tip: How to navigate back and forward to previous screen
Quick swipe right or left to go back / forward to the previous screen. Or press the left arrow in the bottom tool bar to go back.
Where is the Android version?
It's coming! We have a working test beta and are working to finalize and release the final public version ASAP.
