Factory Delivery to save freight / destination charge?

Can I save freight charge on my new Slate if I take delivery at the factory?

This was one of my first questions i sent Customer Service. Factory Delivery is not available at this time. I was hoping because I live within 200 miles i could drive up and pick it up, but alas not an option.

Highly unlikely. No manufacturer has done this, and flat destination fees are something there is law about. Even those vehicles that had a "factory pickup with museum tour" option charged for the pickup and tour on top of the destination fee.

The only separate delivery charge you can avoid will be the one for delivery to your curb. You can pick it up at some regional location where Slate will arrange for us to take possession of the trucks.

The reps do make mistakes. This was possibly one. Otherwise they made a change and didn't update things.

Slate has partnered with a national logistics and distribution partner making picking up your Slate friction free in most areas.

For an additional fee, your Slate can be dropped off right at your door.

No, just days before the additional fee was mentioned. I suspect you are taking a non answer as a new fact.
i noticed you did NOT ask that detail specifically in your quoted response.
so, if you can cite a credible source of no additional fee for curb delivery please let us know.
