Google Maps + Apple Maps now show live Tesla Supercharger availability

Since most of us will be relying on Google Maps or Apple Maps for navigation and charging planning, this is good news.

Both map apps are now showing live availability info on Tesla Supercharger stalls, including the number of open / occupied stalls, kW charging speeds, and other supercharger site details.

The Tesla supercharger access is great. Just be prepared to pay about 44% higher rates. For examples, I can charge my Tesla locally for $0.34/kwh. The non Tesla rate is $.49/kwh.

Good news, you can pay the lower rate with a membership plan. Definitely worth it if you plan to charge your Slate frequently on the road.
