    Effect of Regen

They turn on when the deceleration request is above a certain level, to mimic braking action. On my MachE it is about 0.2gs.

    Delivery Window Coming Soon Club

The CO income tax credit is a bit confusing, but I read that it will be $750+$2500 for 2027 new vehicles with an MSRP under $35k, which is beneficial to Slate. But yes, takes time to make sure they can be eligible. https://tax.colorado.gov/income-tax-topics-innovative-motor-vehicle-credit

Tailgate lock - regular key or electric lock?

They already run power to that location for the third brake light (moved there in most recent builds) and the camera.

    Delivery Window Coming Soon Club

It was put forward by a pretty liberal group, so my guess is that it is intended to show responsible management of battery waste, but I do get worried about a CA/NY problem of having so many good ideas for new rules that you end up fouling your own goals.

    Delivery Window Coming Soon Club

In a Reddit thread someone reported that Slate told them there was an issue with CO deliveries that needed solving. They didn’t specify, but one possibility is COs new law requiring EV manufacturers to register with the state and provide a battery disposal plan. I read the bill and it isn’t...

Lift Kit on the Slate - questions

Agreed, I suspect the default option will be a spacer kit which will work for many and be easy and inexpensive. I’ll hold out for more details then go for something with actual travel extension. I suspect that will be more in the $800-1200 range rather than $200-400.

Slate CEO Peter Faricy interview on Here and Now

For what its worth, 1997 Tacoma takes exactly 5 cranks to lower the driver's window fully.

Why do people think this truck is TINY?

People have just been smoking that giant truck weed for too long. I've seen a few people say that the Slate is really more like a UTV or side-by-side, which is a bonkers comparison, but I suppose if it has frontal visibility better than an M1 Abrams then it must be a toy.

You Can Only Have ONE : "first song you queue up for your first drive"

Fire in the disco, fire in the Taco Bell! Fire in the disco, fire in the Gates of Hell! don’t you want to know how we keep staring fires? It’s my desire! Danger Danger, High Voltage!

Aftermarket wheels - has anyone chosen a manufacturer and/or style?

Nice, that is an XL tire which I’d prefer, I think a lot of the range hit people can see on the LT / E Load Range tires is because of their very stiff sidewalls and weight. Can easily be 15 lbs more per tire. An AT tire in XL load rating will be a lot more comfortable and have better range.

I'm sure the reason they aren't doing that is that they haven't finalized a supplier. I don't think 3M would be happy with them using a 3M product name but then buying the actual wrap from Avery. I'd believe that the only solution was for them to quickly make up a bunch of fun names to make them...

Real world wrap color photos samples

Here is the world's most boring video of me moving some of the swatches around outdoors in overcast sun. The important thing is that the metallics change in brightness considerably as you change the viewing angle, and the "flips" change both brightness and hue, sometimes dramatically. I hope the...

Aftermarket wheels - has anyone chosen a manufacturer and/or style?

They definitely had these wheels on some demo trucks, so clearly it worked well enough. Now, I don't know if that was the final hub or not. Also could be that 2" doesn't look like so much if you have the fender flares on.

Real world wrap color photos samples

At a buck a pop it is easier to just add everything from a category rather than try to guess the exact name. I wanted a mix of colors, metallic/non-metallic, and gloss/satins. I'm not terribly interested the more standard blues, reds or greens, but it wouldn't have cost much to add them. And...

Real world wrap color photos samples

Nice, I used to do some set and lighting design, many years ago. Stressful, but I miss a lot about it. I hear what you are saying, definitely had some big misses on the actual appearance of a painted drop once it hit the planned lighting... Fortunately for wraps, everyone is working from the...
