I'm beginning to think that we should call removing the seat the dog option.

I don't expect Slate to make a hybrid version as that would make them subject to CAFE standards. A lot of people seem to want it in a gas/hybrid version, so I could see some third party mod becoming popular considering how inexpensive the Slate is.

It's not a deciding factor for me either, but it is a feature that could help others. I'll buy the slate even if it didn't have it.

Im going to point out that Flat-towing support can help others who never tow it behind an RV. Since Slate is rear-wheel drive, Towing it requires lifting that axle. If the motor can be disengaged then tow trucks can lift the steering axle instead. Same with car dollies.

Maintenance wise, the most common items are brakes and tires which I will probably use a service center for. As for the fastback, I think I could take it on/off but I doubt I will do this very often. Other accessories may depend on the difficulty in installing them. I would like to change the...

I found the same problem. I did find some in a city an hour away, mostly chain tire shops of which there is one in my town. I plan to use local for the simple stuff, just not sure about battery and HV type repair.

I wasn't saying it isn't possible to do, just that no BEV currently on the road allows this. They probably assume that the charger is stationary and would damage something if the car moved.

Biggest problem is that no EV allows charging while driving, so it won't matter if you tow batteries if you need it to get somewhere.
