I feel your pain on that one. Fortunately for me , the one I have now could tow a Slate on a trailer. This news is concerning for me with a "second-day" reservation. Because the "by region" stipulation may mean I will not see my Slate truck until 2028. I live in remote New Mexico, one of the least populated regions of the country -- for hundreds of miles.
Sounds like a jet flight and long road trip home may be in order. But then how do I retrieve my car at the air port over 100 miles away? I don't think my Tesla is load rated to tow the Slate truck on a rented car trailer, or vica versa. Tesla delivered my Model Y to my house for $700 out of Colorado. Maybe Slate will offer a similar service from a regional distribution hub.
