In my mind, I hope Slate Auto remains focused on their "keep it simple" design philosophy with your suggested licensing in the reverse direction. Namely, let Aptera license FROM Slate whatever they need to build the solar panels as an aftermarket sale to Slate owners.

I agree with you @GaRailroader. The Canoo IPO caused them to have "too many cooks in the kitchen" and the company lost its focus. Covid, plus alleged improper financial shenanigans frightened off any further investments and the spiral downward just accelerated from there.

I was thinking of simply removing the dash panel when mounting speakers and then snapping in a custom bezel to surround each speaker. The more I learn about the Slate, the more I flashback to my Lego childhood -- all the more excited about getting one of these.
