I just got a reply asking about the federal incentives and this is slate auto’s response I feel at ease a bit and I think the price they are referring to is the $25,000 I believe so still a good deal in my eyes then again I did customize mine all out so XD we will see.

As of right now, I believe relying on federal and state incentives on the day I receive my blank Slate will be like expecting the weather that day to be dry and sunny.

I'm hooked on Slate's price and owner installed options. As long as they stay true to those, I'm still in. And their reply to you seems to show that Slate is indeed still committed. So Bailey, thank you for sharing their reply with the rest of us.

I'm in Texas so I'm sure there will be 0% chance of a state sponsored EV credit by the time this comes out. If anything I'll be fined for getting an EV here by then LOL,

Thanks to this thread I just learned that Hawaii has no tax incentive for EVs and in fact has an extra $50 charge for registration above and beyond the normal registration. So effectively Hawaii is anti-EV, who knew?

There has been a big controversy over how EVs should pay their "fair share" for several years now. I think at least half the states (including mine) charge EVs extra. I think your $50 fee is among the lowest. The issue received more attention recently when the proposed new Federal budget included a $250 annual EV fee. People complained that was way too high, I think the (R) replied by raising it to $300.

Thanks for posting about your local situation! Interesting.
