Just keep in mind that storing all that extra gear and associated weight doesn’t help your range, which is already limited right out of the gate.

My understanding is that this isn't the case because of the re-gen breaking in EVs. The extra weight requires more power during acceleration but also gives more back during re-gen. Weight's not the range killer, aerodynamics are.

For example when I'm towing my boat I see a 20% drop in gas mileage in my ICE. I expect to see the same with the Slate. Fortunately, my trip to the water and back is only 50 miles max, usually only 30 miles.

I'd bet it's a frunk release. Aren't they required now in any frunk/trunk?

As far as V2L, I seriously doubt the Slate will have a 120V outlet, as convenient as that would be. If by some chance it will have one, wouldn't it be in the bed? Besides worksite usability, that would put it closer to the inverter which I assume is in the rear near the charge port.

I think an internal release would have to be a glow-in-the-dark-obvious toggle like in a traditional trunk. Most likely spot would be near the latch at the very front - although I didn't see one in the video.

I wonder if there's a minimum volume for the internal release requirement? A 7 cube frunk could fall below that limit. I mean... I would fit folded knees to chin. Yet anyone much larger would be in no condition to use a release no matter how obvious it is.

This is the best view I've personally seen of the frunk. Which seems huge and deep. Actually, the whole front section of the vehicle seems huge. That is a humongous long hood. I'll have to go back and look again at what sort of subframe they have to support the composite hood panel.

Nice that they're getting fleet interest at the show.

We could potentially see some very crazy ICE Conversions of the Truck since while no EV to ICE conversion is easy, that Frunk probably has enough space to fit any engine you want in it.

120V AC outlet, 12V Accessory outlet, and a light makes most sense to me.

Offering a integrated-in USB-C PD port as an accessory would be pretty snappy because more and more devices run on PD port power these days.

They used b be used for cigarette lighters before they were 12V Accessory ports.

I think either you want a Slate for what is known or get your deposit back and buy another known item

What can you get for $25k? The only thing I could find listed close was a subcompact, gas car, discounted like $7k below MSRP
