Just keep in mind that storing all that extra gear and associated weight doesn’t help your range, which is already limited right out of the gate.
My understanding is that this isn't the case because of the re-gen breaking in EVs. The extra weight requires more power during acceleration but also gives more back during re-gen. Weight's not the range killer, aerodynamics are.

For example when I'm towing my boat I see a 20% drop in gas mileage in my ICE. I expect to see the same with the Slate. Fortunately, my trip to the water and back is only 50 miles max, usually only 30 miles.

I'd bet it's a frunk release. Aren't they required now in any frunk/trunk?

As far as V2L, I seriously doubt the Slate will have a 120V outlet, as convenient as that would be. If by some chance it will have one, wouldn't it be in the bed? Besides worksite usability, that would put it closer to the inverter which I assume is in the rear near the charge port.
I think an internal release would have to be a glow-in-the-dark-obvious toggle like in a traditional trunk. Most likely spot would be near the latch at the very front - although I didn't see one in the video.

I wonder if there's a minimum volume for the internal release requirement? A 7 cube frunk could fall below that limit. I mean... I would fit folded knees to chin. Yet anyone much larger would be in no condition to use a release no matter how obvious it is.

This is the best view I've personally seen of the frunk. Which seems huge and deep. Actually, the whole front section of the vehicle seems huge. That is a humongous long hood. I'll have to go back and look again at what sort of subframe they have to support the composite hood panel.

Nice that they're getting fleet interest at the show.
We could potentially see some very crazy ICE Conversions of the Truck since while no EV to ICE conversion is easy, that Frunk probably has enough space to fit any engine you want in it.

120V AC outlet, 12V Accessory outlet, and a light makes most sense to me.

Offering a integrated-in USB-C PD port as an accessory would be pretty snappy because more and more devices run on PD port power these days.

How did we ever get along without power ports in our cars?

Again, I'm surprised at the amount of technology you advocate for while in other past posts you advocate for the 'radical simplicity' of the Slate design ethos.

I don't think we have, have we?

They used b be used for cigarette lighters before they were 12V Accessory ports.

In that case you apparently misunderstand what Slate's ethos of Radical Simplicity is actually about.

Finally something
The Slate needs a lower price. I know they are not pickups, (most are crossovers/SUVs), but with rebates, % and other deals I can get several other EVs for the same price as the Slate. The other vehicles usually have faster charging, more range, and more standard features. Will someone who works at Slate please respond/contact me? What do others think? I have a deposite on a Slate.

I think either you want a Slate for what is known or get your deposit back and buy another known item

What can you get for $25k? The only thing I could find listed close was a subcompact, gas car, discounted like $7k below MSRP

What do you mean "They aren't pickups"? The Slate is literally a pickup, it's the only vehicle they plan on selling.

I am looking for the cheapest new EV that can tow without voiding the warranty. If you know of one cheaper than Slate, please tell me what it is.

Believe they mean the 'other' EVs aren't pickups, based on reading that copy-paste post they did in like three separate threads.

My wife's EV6 has an adapter that connects to the charge port that provides a 16 amp, 120V outlet. Slate could provide something like this as well if there aren't any 120V outlets built-in anywhere.

Agree it's awesome though. My truck and my wife's EV6 double as silent electricity generators whenever we lose power. I've got outlets all over my lightning and even have a 30 amp, 240V receptacle in the bed. I could run the whole house off of just the truck (minus some heavy loads like AC) if I had the right setup.

Sounds like the perfect sort of thing to show up in the fabled Marketplace as a bolt-in user upgrade.
Same thing with upgraded 120V AC.

The reason it came to mind is because probably 10 out of the last 10 times I've seen and accessory plugged into a vehicle's 12V Accessory outlet the accessory was a USB adapter.
