do we think the next vehicle will the the complete opposite of the slate truck, a car with everything would be interesting, but i think it will be a slight if not substantial update to the at this point very loved truck
That is the worst thing I've ever heard.
That's not just scope creep, that's a new mission statement with new everything about design and manufacturing to go with it.
To answer: No, we don't.

Disagree. I think Slate should develop and build an American-made, spaceframe/plastic-bodied, spartan-interior, 4-door electric sports sedan for $27,500. I'd buy one.

I have absolutely zero problem with what you described. I was reacting to a car "with everything". That sounded like just another Tesla to me.

I was focused on the "car" part.

I don’t see Tesla design standards as including spartan anything.

IMO if I was product planning 2 Door Slate Truck -> AWD Option -> 4 Door Slate XL -> Small Slate Coupe or Sedan with a Hatch/Lift back trunk and an 80's body design -> Modular Slate Van
I would put modular van way ahead of everything else. Big delivery companies are producing theit cars themselves because market wasn't able to deliver cars at right price point. Let it sink: electric vans are so expensive, that for UPS and the likes it's cheaper to just get into car production. That's unheard of. The little guys will be lining up for a cheap modular van. Which you can adapt for cargo, or for people. Make higher or lower. And maybe even longer and shorter?
