Poll: Slate's second model - what do you think it will be?

I could see something like this, but current front look, being Blank Slate 2.0

PSA: Extended Range Battery can NOT be added / retrofit installed after purchase (confirmed by Slate)

So, it appears I am the problem.just not flexible enough. our typical Costco run leave house by 7:30 am stop in Waimea at McD for coffee, maybe a breakfast sandwich. Nope no chargers within walking distance of McD. arrive Costco 9:30/. 9:45. Yup they do have a single chargers. Iā€ll have to start...

    Slate vs. Telo

I wouldn’t park it in my tractor shed let alone my garage.

    Slate vs. Telo

Yea, that’s an unknown, 2inches, 0 inches, ?? I’m hoping with the no seat SUV/van option I can just leave in place to keep my dogs in back (Likely with some barrier to replace window)

    Slate vs. Telo

LOL, , didn’t notice where the Telo went. make it removable? rotate toward bed, slide up ? Or maybe make the whole mid gate removable without tools.

    Slate vs. Telo

we assume the Slate mid-gate is removal, so possibly hinge the middle portion? Hmmmm, a DYI mod 😁

    Slate vs. Telo

Would be interesting to see Slate adopt that opening mid gate.

Poll: Slate's second model - what do you think it will be?

Respectfullu gonna disagree with the 4 door suggestion. Don’t be just another in the bunch, but concentrate resources into making Slate the benchmark 2 door. That said, maybe if with extended bed the SUV incorporates a sliding door on side, like vans, but remain true to the basic model. Could...

Aptera-style solar panels in SUV option.

True, but then my memory kicks in. When I built our house in 2006, PV panels were over $700 for 125 watts. Batteries were maintenance intensive lead acid, the charge controllers and inverters were functional but dumb. My last upgrade PV were less than $1/watt, my LiFePO batteries I just look at...

Walmart EV Charging Network Plans to Blanket US

while that would be nice, doubtful. Sadly, we have a significant segment of our society that would see them as objects of their quest for a minute of ā€œfunā€.

Poll: Slate's second model - what do you think it will be?

Pretty sure I won’t getting one. I’m expecting Slate 1 to outlive me. But why would anyone hate a thread speculating on next model? Makes sense. What doesn’t make sense is is bemoaning not getting future stuff NOW, distracting from the major task at hand.

It looks like SLATE has pathetic EV efficiency. (and a rant).

I can remember as a kid the barber thinning my hair. 78 years later, no need.

Slate pickup sighting in downtown Warsaw, IN! (w/ frunk, bed, charging port closeup)

Way back too many years ago when I was working a business that produced what were called rubber bumpers, grayish was the raw color. Still showed variations from molding etc. I know things have made progress but sometimes they don’t change completely. A task was color matching. Back then, we were...

Delusional not aimed this thread but the broader forum people wanting their $20+k slate to have all the amenities of a $$40-50+K, Awd, 4 doors, power this and that, etc. but of course as EV pickup.

Q&A / FAQ on Data Privacy, Preconditioning, 3D-printing [Slate Interview w/ The Verge]

Gotta admit, that’s sticking to basics. 😁 i will be adding internet/wifi, but not to control much when I’m not inside the truck except link security cams to my home network. so in my thinking, installing a celluar internet has been my thought. Yesterday mind got to wandering and started...

Interview: Sandy Munro calls Slate genius and a disruptor

And another point for failure. i have more years with crank and manual than I do with electric. I guess growing up with them I never considered a PITA. Unless you change drivers every go how often does one actually adjust their mirrors. Im also thinking Slate is narrow enough to basically reach...

Slate pickup sighting in downtown Warsaw, IN! (w/ frunk, bed, charging port closeup)

I’m suspecting that color of plastic panels will fall into a range of acceptability as a cost savings for Slate As color matching across all the molding could be challenging, expensive when taking rejections into account. This may have been hinted at with the battle scarred comment. Anyone...
