Thanks again you guys.
As for some of the non answers. i think thatās to be expected in that your hosts were likely told what could be answered. And at this early point a non answer doesnāt mean Slate doesnāt have an answer.
If fender flares attach to fenders why would the wheels change width?
i realize some vehicles (jeeps) you can add spacers. i did on wifeās kubota tractor, but no flares.
Canāt answer your poll as written, but Maybe, without the caveat.
But, if the electrical infrastructure has made progress, Iād say this would be a great market. Since Slate announcement I have been mindful of the number of old style small pu on the road. Those will need to be replaced.
Iām gonna agree for the most part.
i can go with the smaller battery, just means I wonāt make a certain few trips during the year.
I can go without 4WD. I can choose not to drive where it might be required or even nice.
But if I did want those capabilities I should expect they will cost extra...
Not that many years ago, I had a basic, 4 banger, 5 speed Tacoma. After getting stuck over on my cane road, I said, no more without 4wd.
Every truck since has had 4wd. I may have driven over there 3 times since, once to pull out my tractor. I think I can readjust to my rwd only Slate. š
What does it matter? Not official. This is such a small sample, but still great IMHO.
If someone on here is a negative poster and thinks a Reservation adds credibility, they can just lie they have one.
As it would appear they will have all the components seems only a matter of configuration and logical to offer variations. If not and sales volume warrants some 3rd party will offer a basic topper.
