  1. Did the "big bill" just end EV Tax Credits for Slates? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

I can go to Reddit or some other forum if I want to read vitriol bc one party is doing something the other one hates. Elon gonna spend a couple of Billion creating America Party though? (I voted for Ross Perot twice, so I understand the want for something different.)
  2. Wrapped Slate SUV on display at Motoring Coffee LA (until mid-July)

I know, right? (Is this Christmas Wrap music or Dre featuring Snoop? I want to make sure it’s done right!)
  3. Reservation List - Delivery Order Priority?

Cumming. One of my practice sites is not far from Chamblee though. Spent a lot of time around CDC back in the day, so you could say I know the area!
  4. Wrapped Slate SUV on display at Motoring Coffee LA (until mid-July)

That would be good to know. If the wrap was bad and done by Slate, then you know you wouldn’t depend on them…but if done locally, then the reciprocal would be likely.
  5. Reservation List - Delivery Order Priority?

I can only imagine your life! Thanks for the vicarious eavesdropping
  6. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

Having lived in DFW for years, this inexperience is deadly. Rain/sleet/ice are all mysterious forces to many there…the rest of us were subject to their ignorance and optimism.
  7. Rising used car prices is good news for Slate!

In the bougie world of $25K golf carts that get tricked out and then traded or sold for $12K, there is an allegory. This is just a stronger golf cart with more safety features to them. The bougie won’t care. The rest of us might look carefully at each mod? YOLO vs future retirement...
  8. Reservation List - Delivery Order Priority?

    Electron envy…story of my life.
  9. Reservation List - Delivery Order Priority?

Thats awesome. I’d like to be 100% off grid…solar, geothermal, etc. A Slate would make sense in that ecosystem if you get enough electrons moving around!
  10. Rising used car prices is good news for Slate!

I keep thinking that it would be a hoot to be a mobile installer of Slate accessories for those less mechanically inclined. Sort of like the dudes who drive around putting together IKEA furniture for the city folk without basic tools (or experience)? I would imagine that would be a fun YouTube...
  11. Reservation List - Delivery Order Priority?

What is their electricity made? Google says: “Hawaii primarily relies on imported petroleum for its electricity generation, with over 70% of its power coming from this source. While renewable energy sources like solar, wind, and geothermal are being developed, they currently account for a...
  12. How much day-to-day technology is enough?

Good point! I only need maps, Slate app, spotify/other news app, and ability to look up stuff while I'm charging, I'd guess. So, not "CarPlay". These conversations really make you examine what you really need/use vs all of the extra clutter.
  13. New video in SUV mode w/ 4 adult passengers

This is a good video for those who have done no research. I would like mine next week, please...
  14. How much day-to-day technology is enough?

I’m thinking just a tablet for CarPlay run off of my cell phone and a pill for a speaker…that’s all I really use currently (Lightning extravagance notwithstanding).
  15. Place Your Bets! (actual blank Slate starting price contest)

I could see that. $29,995 for big battery.
  16. Wrapped Slate SUV on display at Motoring Coffee LA (until mid-July)

I was thinking the same thing! In a different primary color, I really like the way this RWD looks. It would obviously be cooler as an AWD with bigger battery, but then we are into a >$40K setup?
  17. Did the "big bill" just end EV Tax Credits for Slates? [WARNING: NO POLITICS]

The EV credit never entered into my calculations when I plopped down $50...I'm patiently waiting while learning about EV trucks on a '23 Lightning.
  18. Suspension Poll: Lifted, Lowered, or Standard Height?

This is exactly what I was thinking. Lowered is great until you start scraping things!
