  1. Ride quality- prediction poll

I would substitute ā€œpleasantā€ with ā€œacceptableā€. The pleasantness comes from my monthly expenses
  2. Ride quality- prediction poll

Road noise? - Heavily dependent on the tires, have we heard the "thump" of the door yet? I would say better than average, if you are including engine noise with road noise, considering there is no engine :) Overall ride, smooth or choppy? - Probably pretty smooth, but 1pd is uncomfortable at...
  3. Your questions answered AND 360 photos! (saw white Slate & met team members in Warsaw)

Sure, what is it called in an EV when you need to insert a key… ā€œpush to activateā€? I imagine all EVs currently don’t require the key to be inserted anywhere to drive them. I was just taking slates language from their reply
  4. Your questions answered AND 360 photos! (saw white Slate & met team members in Warsaw)

Yeah curious how this would work. That being said, RF chips are dirt cheap, so push-to-start probably wouldn't be that expensive of a "luxury".
  5. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

Again- it's not "knowing how to drive" for me, it's meeting the legal requirements and not chaining up/down dozens of times in the winter. I'm team RWD as standard, AWD as an option. Totally think that a light duty truck has limited/no need for 4x4 for most consumers. In fact, modern trucks...
  6. Main battery questions.

Is it confirmed that the larger battery is an extra pack entirely? I would assume it would just be a separate, but larger pack with additional modules. Having two packs would be interesting, more harnesses, PCBs, etc, not to mention the charging and output changes that would come from utilizing...
  7. Honda Prologue EV $249/month + tax lease on a new 2025 Touring 2WD !

If it’s the price the consumer pays, it’s a fair comparison
  8. WiFi Connectivity for vehicle control scheduling

I wonder if there are any vehicles sold in America (new) with no connectivity. Seems to be standard now
  9. WiFi Connectivity for vehicle control scheduling

Have you used any of big autos apps? They would be impressive, if they were made by high schoolers. Building apps is pretty easy. Remote AC/Heat, battery levels, that’s about it. Not that and app is a dealbreaker for me, but let’s not pretend it will add any significant cost
  10. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

I’m hoping CC2s will be available and suitable on the Slate. Popular choice on M3s out here. Nice to not have to switch year round. KO3s will likely be my choice, depending how much they ruin gas mileage.
  11. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

And on the dark side, the passes sit in R1 from approximately 30 minutes after the first snowfall in November, until a week after the last in May. Usually about a week gap in January/February when there’s a drought šŸ˜‚. I thought they were going to call chain control last weekend! I know, I’m an...
  12. Have you made a $50 deposit poll

I’d be willing to bet a good chunk of people signed up for the forum when the hype was high, and never returned. it’s a $50, refundable deposit, not a marriage license
  13. Robust electronics

For sure. The comment said these functions are already available on a phone or tablet. They are not, without a specific accessory.
  14. Robust electronics

The carplay interface is not available anywhere other than on installed carplay radio units. You can not use it on an ipad, or a phone, or anything else. Carplay has two great draws: 1) Easily display both GPS/Route, as well as music playing. Very easy to quickly control, for example...
  15. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

Yep. I want AWD to meet the requirement. If it's so bad that I don't think I can drive, I don't. Hasn't failed me yet, perhaps some day it will.
  16. Have you made a $50 deposit poll

There are 317 reservations listed on the tracker. Most of them have a reservation number attached. There ya go.
  17. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

My personal desire for AWD or 4x4 is purely based on Caltrans requiring chains on 2wd vehicles in winter storms- and enforcing it. 95%+ of consumers dont ever "need" AWD or 4x4, so I get why slate left it out. It does have me feeling left out, though :(
  18. Confirmed: 4x4 all-wheel drive AWD planned for future Slate version!

That's good news. I imagine I will be too soon to get the AWD version, and will use my RWD as a long-term tester, speced to the minimum, and if I like it and still feel I need AWD, can upgrade 2-4 years later.
  19. New video in SUV mode w/ 4 adult passengers

.5s clips to hide how uncomfortable the back seat is for adults  I'll be in the driver's seat, sorry passengers!
